Assisted Living Floorplan

After two years of careful, comprehensive study, our Board of Directors approved a $14.8 million dollar plan to add 23 assisted living apartments and create a new Village Center. The project was a financially sound decision and was funded from cash reserves. The new Village Center includes:

  • New Main Entrance, Living Room and Library Areas
  • Fitness Center & Swimming Pool with a Ramp Entrance
  • Innovative Dining Venues including a Garden Café & Cocktail Lounge
  • Beauty Salon & Barber Shop
  • Library
  • Outdoor Pavillion with fireplace, seating and water features

In our Garden Café & Deli your children and grandchildren can have wireless Internet access for their laptop computers as they enjoy coffee and fresh made sandwiches in a cozy, friendly environment. Picture yourself ordering a fresh baked pizza from our specialty brick oven or purchasing a rotisserie chicken to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

The June & Frank Sackton Assisted Living Center: The addition of 23 assisted living apartments is located on the second floor above the new Village Center.  Each apartment is 650 square feet, one of the largest in the industry, and provides personal attention in an intimate, beautifully designed setting. The Assisted Living Center adds another option in our continuum of care, where dignity is respected, privacy honored and self-sufficiency supported and encouraged. Our licensed home health agency, which currently provides care in the privacy of resident apartment homes on a fee-for-service basis, will continue to be another desirable option for many residents.

Assisted living services include three meals a day in a smaller community dining room located in the heart of this living area. Staff are available around the clock to provide the right amount of personalized attention. Private apartments allow residents to furnish their homes with the treasures dearest to them. The intimate, residential design makes lending a helping hand a desired way of life.

Construction Phases: Construction began in the Fall of 2005 and was completed in January 2008. In order to continue our daily service and care of our residents, the construction was completed in five phases.

“The construction phase was an exciting time. We did everything we could to minimize any inconveniences for our residents and ensure our level of service continued throughout,” said Bud Hart, our Executive Director. “It was exciting to be part of an extraordinary event that will change the future of Westminster Village. New bricks and mortar have changed the look of Westminster Village, and have only added to the spirit of community, friendship, love and laughter that permeates this great place to live and work.”
