Life Care Means Living Life with Peace of Mind
Westminster Village is renowned for its reputation as a true life care community. We have built an outstanding reputation for delivering the highest quality of care through a seamless continuum of support services.
Scottsdale Healthcare Shea, one of Arizona’s finest hospitals, is located less than five minutes from us, and we are just 10 minutes from Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Hospital. Our professional relationships with the area’s world-class hospitals and universities demonstrate our commitment to excellence. With a quality staff of 175 caring, professional people, we offer a variety of programs and services designed to help our residents stay as independent and fully engaged in life as possible.
Wellness Center
Our new Wellness Center provides our residents with outpatient health monitoring by a Licensed Practical Nurse. With convenient office hours, the Wellness Center is located in the heart of our Village Center. Vital sign checks, weight monitoring, lab test coordination and flu vaccinations are just a few of the services offered to residents at no charge. If ongoing care is indicated, the resident's Primary Care Physician is contacted and a telephone order or written prescription is obtained for treatment at the Wellness Center.
Home Health Services
Licensed home health services can also be provided in the comfort of your home. Our staff can provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication and other activities of daily living on a fee-for-service basis. For safety and peace of mind, your home is equipped with an emergency response system. Once activated, our staff will respond immediately to the resident’s home in emergency situations. Read More
Our Home Health Services Westminster Village Home Health Services is licensed as a non-Medicare participating home health agency by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Anne Enos, R.N., is the Home Health Director, and she supervises the staff while a Medical Director and Professional Advisory Group oversee the program. The office is located on the second floor near Saguaro Lounge and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, home health services are provided 7 days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily.
Home care services are designed to bridge the gap in services for Residents not yet ready to move to the next level of care. A physician’s order is necessary for both nursing and personal care services.
Staff members assist Residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders and wheelchair transportation. These needs may arise during an acute episode of illness or when a chronic illness or disability prevents a Resident from performing such activities.
All services MUST be delivered in the Resident’s apartment according to State law. The need for services is evaluated by a Registered Nurse during an initial assessment visit. Home health aides/homemaker are assigned duties and supervised by the R.N. staff regularly. The following services are offered:
- Skilled Nursing Care & Case Management
- Home Health Aide/Homemaker
- Personal Care: Bathing, grooming, dressing, medication reminders.
- Supportive Care: Wheelchair escorts, light housekeeping, meal preparation, well-being checks, and physician visit escorts.
Other functions of the program include maintaining the Resident’s personal health information and offering various health and wellness programs to the community such as the annual flu shot clinic and fall prevention seminars.
Home Health Fees The program is a fee-for-service, private pay agency and does not bill Medicare. A complete list of current charges is available from the home health office. All tasks are assigned and billed a minimum time allotment. For example, shower assistance is alloted 30 minutes.
We provide up to thirty (30) minutes per day of home health aide/homemaker services to eligible Residents at no additional charge based on a mutually developed plan of care. Care extending past 30 minutes is billed at the rate of $18 per hour.

To accomplish this, each rehabilitative program is designed specifically for the resident by our team of professionals. Helping our residents maintain an active lifestyle is as important to their well-being as providing quality medical care.
Our therapeutic recreation specialist works closely with all Residents to develop a stimulating program for each individual. Our programs and activities are specifically designed to enhance self-esteem and encourage individual expression. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities which are best suited to their abilities, interests, and personalities. At times, people even rediscover talents which have been dormant for years.
Special group outings are also organized. Our wheelchair accessible van takes interested Residents to special areas and activities, including drives to view the beautiful lakes and parks in nearby areas. Situated at the hub of the Health Care Center is a comfortable living room with a large screen television, equipped with a VCR to view favorite movies.
Dining Services Residents are served three meals each day in our attractive dining room. All meals are planned under the direction of our consulting registered dietitian. Our dietary manager is also available to discuss any dietary concerns or personal food preferences with our residents and their families.
We know how important it is to have friends and family visit. Guest reservations can be made with our dietary staff if you wish to eat in the Weyrich Center dining room or reserve the private dining room for birthday parties and other special events.
Beauty/Barber Shop A full service beauty/barber salon is located within Westminster Village and is open five days a week. Manicures and pedicures are also available.
Religious Services A non-denominational chapel is located within Westminster Village and features a service, performed by visiting area clergy, every Sunday at 4 p.m. A Jewish service is held on the third Wednesday of each month. For the convenience of our residents, a religious service is conducted every Friday afternoon in the Health Care Center by our visiting chaplain. Our chaplain is also available for personal counseling and makes regularly scheduled visits to see residents in our Health Care Center and local hospitals.
Personal Laundry Service Weyrich Health Care Center encourages all residents to dress in casual clothing. We believe this is an important part of wellness. We do provide laundry service for an additional monthly charge.
